The reason why we have turned to biodegradable and compostable

More and more businesses and companies in the food sector are nowadays frivolously searching for eco-friendly alternatives when it comes to plastic packaging. The idea here is to harshly decrease their CO2 footprint while coming up with various solutions which are mostly made from renewable materials. Statistics tell us that each year, about 8m tons of plastic end up in the world’s oceans. Moreover, experts predict that by 2050 there might be more plastic than fish in the sea. 

This is the reason why we have turned to biodegradable, compostable, or even edible packaging materials as opposed to plastic which is convenient for packing food.
