Product Description
Designed for specialty coffee roasters, private-label coffee brands and wholesale buyers, BioPack's compostable flat bottom coffee bags combine a stable retail format with customizable barrier protection and practical closure options.
The flat bottom construction provides a broad front panel and stable shelf presentation, while a one-way degassing valve can be added for freshly roasted coffee. Resealable zipper and tin tie configurations are available according to your filling process, retail format and brand design.
Material structure, pouch dimensions, printing and barrier requirements can all be customized for roasted coffee beans or ground coffee.
Flat bottom pouches are widely used for premium coffee because the squared base helps the package stand upright and provides several printable surfaces for branding.
Compared with a simple flat pouch, the format also gives coffee brands more room for roast information, origin details, brewing instructions, QR codes and brand graphics.
BioPack can customize the pouch around your actual filling weight rather than relying on a generic stock size.
For existing coffee products, send us your current bag dimensions or a physical sample and we can evaluate a comparable format.
Freshly roasted coffee releases carbon dioxide after roasting. A one-way degassing valve allows internal gas to escape while helping limit outside air from entering the package. This is one of the reasons valves are commonly used for freshly roasted coffee packaging.
Valve type and position can be selected according to bag size, filling volume and artwork layout.
For a new project, please tell us whether you are packing coffee immediately after roasting or after a defined degassing period. This helps determine the appropriate packaging configuration.

BioPack is a custom flexible packaging manufacturer specializing in compostable, recyclable and high-barrier packaging for coffee, food and specialty products.
For commercial coffee projects, we can support material selection, custom dimensions, closure configuration, valve placement, printing, sample development and specification matching.
If you already purchase coffee bags from another supplier, sending your existing bag or specification sheet is usually the most efficient way to start a comparison.
Are these coffee bags certified compostable?
Certified compostable material and packaging options are available. The exact certification must be confirmed against the finished pouch structure and components used for your order.
Why do roasted coffee bags need a degassing valve?
Freshly roasted coffee releases carbon dioxide. A one-way valve allows this gas to escape while helping restrict outside air from entering the package.
Can I customize the size and artwork?
Yes. Flat bottom bags can be customized in dimensions, printing, surface finish, valve position and closure configuration.
Can you make bags with both a zipper and tin tie?
Yes, different closure configurations can be evaluated according to the bag design. If compostability certification for the complete finished package is required, the selected zipper and tin tie must also be reviewed for certification compatibility.
Can I send my existing coffee bag for matching?
Yes. Providing the current pouch, dimensions or specification allows the material structure, size and functional features to be evaluated more accurately.
What is the MOQ?
MOQ depends on the material, dimensions, printing method and bag construction. It is better to quote MOQ against the actual specification rather than publishing one number for every compostable coffee pouch.
Can I get samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes. Sample evaluation is recommended before commercial production, particularly when changing from conventional packaging to a compostable structure.
