sustainability information
Digital printing can be evaluated for shorter runs and multiple SKUs, while gravure printing is generally better suited to larger repeat programs.
The appropriate printing method depends on quantity, artwork and material structure.
BioPack can develop 12 oz coffee packaging using different sustainable material approaches depending on the project.
Options may include:
Compostable structures
For projects requiring packaging designed for an applicable composting route.
Paper-look structures
For brands looking for a natural visual presentation.
Recyclable structures
An alternative where recyclability better matches the destination market and required barrier performance.
Environmental claims should always match the actual material and finished packaging supplied.
What size pouch should I use for 12 oz of coffee?
The correct dimensions depend on whether you pack whole bean or ground coffee, as well as roast density, headspace and filling equipment. We recommend confirming dimensions with your actual coffee before production.
Can the 12 oz bag include a degassing valve?
Yes. A one-way coffee degassing valve can be added and positioned according to the pouch dimensions and artwork.
Can I customize the bag with my own design?
Yes. Size, artwork, print finish, zipper, valve and material structure can be customized.
Are biodegradable and compostable coffee bags the same?
Not necessarily. "Biodegradable" is a broad description, while compostability refers to defined conditions and may be supported by specific standards or certifications. Environmental claims should be based on the actual packaging specification.
Can you match our existing 12 oz coffee pouch?
Yes. Send the existing bag, dimensions or technical specification so the pouch construction and functional features can be evaluated.
Can I request samples first?
Yes. Sample evaluation is recommended before commercial production, particularly when changing from a conventional laminate to a sustainable material structure.
What is the MOQ?
MOQ depends on the material, bag size, printing method and pouch construction. It is best confirmed against the final specification rather than using one MOQ for every 12 oz coffee bag.
