Freshly roasted coffee continues to release carbon dioxide after roasting.
A one-way degassing valve provides a controlled route for this gas to leave the package while helping restrict external air from entering.
Valve location can be customized according to pouch size, filling level and artwork.
For better specification matching, tell us whether you pack the coffee shortly after roasting or after a defined degassing period.
Sustainable packaging still needs to protect the coffee inside.
Roasted coffee can be affected by oxygen, moisture, light and external odors, so material selection should begin with the required barrier performance rather than with an environmental claim alone.
BioPack can evaluate compostable structures according to:
whole bean or ground coffee
desired shelf life
storage conditions
distribution distance
current packaging structure
required oxygen and moisture protection
If you are replacing a foil or conventional multilayer pouch, providing the existing specification helps us assess a more suitable alternative.
What size bag is suitable for 1 lb of coffee?
There is no universal dimension because whole bean and ground coffee have different densities. Roast level and required headspace also affect the final pouch size. Testing with the actual coffee is recommended before production.
Can the 1LB coffee bag include a degassing valve?
Yes. A one-way degassing valve can be incorporated and positioned according to the pouch size and artwork.
Can the bag have a resealable zipper?
Yes. Zipper configurations are available for retail coffee packaging.
Are biodegradable and compostable coffee bags the same?
No. Biodegradable is a broader term, while compostability relates to degradation under defined conditions and may be verified against specific standards or certification schemes.
Can you custom print 1LB coffee bags?
Yes. Logo, origin information, tasting notes, brewing instructions, barcodes and full branding can be customized.
Can you match our current coffee bag?
Yes. Sending a physical sample or technical specification is one of the most effective ways to develop an equivalent-size or alternative-material pouch.
What is the MOQ?
MOQ varies according to material structure, dimensions, printing process and bag configuration. It should be confirmed against the final project specification.
Can we test samples before mass production?
Yes. Sample evaluation is recommended, particularly when changing from conventional packaging to a compostable material structure.
